The people you learn with Draft
Every CivicBridge course is taught live and online to a small cohort of people doing the same kind of work across New York, Newark, and Jersey City. Here's how the group stays connected, during the course and after it. Draft
The closing dinner Draft
Every course ends with a dinner, in person, in the New York City metro area. After weeks of meeting on screen, the cohort sits at the same table to look back on what each person built and to meet face to face. It's part of every cohort.
In Middle Course 1, the cohort picks the dinner date together.
Between courses Draft
In the last session of a course, you're paired with someone from your cohort. The two of you stay in touch during the weeks between courses, while you each put what you learned to work.
Four to six weeks after a course ends, you have a one-on-one check-in about how you're using what you learned at work. It's coaching, focused on your work. You'll hear about it when you register and again when the course ends.
After you finish Draft
Finish a course series and you become CivicBridge alumni. Alumni are invited to community events and closing dinners, and can come back to later cohorts in a peer role.
Over time, that adds up to a network of people across New York, Newark, and Jersey City who have worked through the same parts of the job.
